Robert Trumbour

Associate Professor


Rob Trumbour, Associate Professor, is a founding partner in the design/research practice Khôra, and the founding director of the Boston-based design collaborative Artforming. His work explores the interwoven themes of space, time and memory through a variety of mediums and fabrication processes ranging from fabrics and video projection, wood, ice, concrete and gypsum castings. The work engages a wide variety of collaborators including students, visual artists, architects, writers, musicians and composers  to expose the relationships between material properties, spatial compositions and visceral experience. Rob is an MFA Candidate at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, has an MArch from University of Texas, Austin, and a BFA from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
