Ali Khabari

Bio
Dr. Ali Khabari is the Dean of the School of Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology and a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering program. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University. Before assuming his current role as Dean, Dr. Khabari held several leadership positions, including Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, Interim Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Program Coordinator.
Dr. Khabari's expertise lies in nanostructured materials, a field in which he has made significant contributions. He has secured multiple external grants, which have been instrumental in establishing the Wentworth Nanotechnology Laboratory. His scholarly achievements have earned him the President’s Award for Distinguished Scholarship. Dr. Khabari is an active member of several organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the American Vacuum Society (AVS), and a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society (Eta Kappa Nu) and the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
