What is Swipe Out Hunger?

Swipe Out Hunger is the leading nonprofit addressing hunger among college students. Founded by a group of friends at UCLA in 2010, it has grown campus by campus into a national movement across all 50 states. To learn more about the organization, click here.

In partnership with the COF Dining Services, the Student Support Lounge at the Dean of Students Office works to collect meal swipes, donated by our students, and provide them to students who are experiencing food insecurity.

How do I get meal swipes added to my account?

Students experiencing food insecurity may submit a request to the Dean of Students Office one of two ways:

  • by completing a Dean of Students Outreach Request and selecting 'I would like to request Swipe Out Hunger Meal Swipes' as the primary concern. A staff member will reach back out to you within 24 business hours.
  • by visiting the Student Support Lounge at the Dean of Students Office in Rubenstein Hall 003 and speaking to a staff member.
