Apply Engagement Strategies
More and more, research shows that students who feel more responsible, and take more responsibility, for their own learning, become more engaged with their learning.
Best practices for communicating with your online students
Traditionally in face-to-face courses, the instructor's main focus in the classroom is lecturing, demonstrating, and discussing methods. In an online/hybrid course, the instructor's role becomes more of a facilitator and/or moderator of learning - encouraging students to contribute, be engaging online, able to adapt to new teaching contexts, methods, audiences, and roles.
