What led you to the work you do now?
My student affairs journey started when I was a very involved undergraduate student. Through my involvement, I found a passion for helping students develop and grow during a very transformational experience, which is college. In addition, I really found a passion for helping students understand their rights, as well as the responsibilities and set of privileges that come with being a college student. I also really enjoy helping students find their voice and empowering them to become change agents in their fields.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of the work I get to do at Wentworth every day. Protecting student rights and creating processes that are equitable and accessible is something that is important to me. I am also proud to contribute to the learning of all students I get to interact with through meetings and different trainings like Implicit Bias and Step Up, our Bystander Intervention program.
Describe one thing that you are working on or is happening in your classroom that you are excited about.
Something that I am really excited and proud of is the Student Code of Conduct revision. While the Student Code of Conduct is not perfect, I, along with Joe Fisher and Carissa Durfee, was able to make it a lot more equitable and accessible to students. Another exciting process that is new for us is the University Probation Committee where students are able to help their peers through their probation status.
What is one interesting fact about you?
I love high interval training, boxing, and lifting!

What's one piece of advice you have for Latinx students at Wentworth?
A piece of advice I would share with mi gente Latinx is to connect with faculty/staff and NEVER be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Also, You BELONG HERE. Do not ever question that.
