Meet our Student Support Specialists!
Located in the Student Support Lounge at the Dean of Students Office in Rubenstein Hall 003, our Student Support Specialists are available to meet with students Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. If you'd like to meet with a Support Specialist, but cannot due to your Co-op employment, please email the Support Specialist to schedule a time.
The Student Support Specialists also host open office hours daily from 11:00am-12:00pm & 3:00pm-4:00pm.
Jesse Aparicio Correia (he/him/his) has served the Wentworth community since 2008 and joined the Student Support Specialist team in 2021. Through individualized case management, Jesse partners with students navigating personal, financial, academic, and life challenges to assess needs, develop actionable plans, and connect with campus and community support. He oversees Wentworth’s Financial Hardship Resources- including the Student Emergency Fund, Leopard Food Pantry, Supply Closet, and WITwear program- collaborating across campus to ensure students have equitable access to essentials that foster well-being and academic persistence. Jesse is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys landscaping and gardening, biking, home improvement projects, and hiking with his partner and dog, Gus.

Kayla Schneider (she-her-hers pronouns) has been supporting Wentworth students since 2021 and became a member of the Dean of Students team in December 2022 as a Student Support Specialist. Kayla partners with students who are navigating social, emotional, and academic challenges, helping them build skills, set goals, and strengthen their time management strategies. Kayla also provides support for students who must miss classes because of emergencies. In addition, she oversees the Who Can Help support portal (whocanhelp.wit.edu), a resource designed to connect students with assistance they need in an efficient and timely way. When she is not on campus, Kayla enjoys reading, skiing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
