SOH Meal Swipes at Wentworth
In partnership with COF Dining Services and Sodexo, the Dean of Students Office collects meal swipes generously donated by students and distributes them to students experiencing food insecurity.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria below may submit a request for review by the Financial Hardship Review Committee. If approved, students may receive up to five (5) meal swipes per semester to use at Beatty Café.
Our Meal Swipe Assistance Program operates during the Fall and Spring semesters, but is not operational for the Summer semester. Meal swipes are limited and distributed based on available donations. Approval and availability are not guaranteed.
Students seeking additional assistance are encouraged to visit the Financial Hardship Resources page. -
Am I Eligible to Receive Meal Swipes?
Students experiencing food insecurity may be eligible to receive meal swipes if they:
- Are currently enrolled as a full-time (12 credits for undergraduate students, 9 credits for graduate students, or registered for a required co-op) student at the university.
- Demonstrate significant financial need as determined by a current FAFSA for domestic students, or an alternative financial hardship review for international students (SAI of below $10,000 and/or Pell Grant Eligible, if applicable).
- Have not received food assistance through the Student Emergency Fund for the current semester.
- Have no remaining dining swipes, dining flex, or dining points on their dining accounts.

How Do I Request Meal Swipes?
If you meet the eligibility criteria above, you may request meal swipes by completing a Dean of Students Outreach Request and selecting “I would like to request Swipe Out Hunger Meal Swipes” as your primary concern.

How Do I Donate Meal Swipes to the Program?
Donation drives are held twice each fall and spring semester, typically around midterms and finals, in partnership with COF Dining Services. During each donation drive, students may donate one to two meal swipes to the Swipe Out Hunger Meal Swipe Bank.
Announcements about upcoming donation drives will be shared in Beatty Café, through university communication channels, and on flyers posted throughout campus. Keep an eye out for opportunities to support fellow students.
