Transcripts
Transcripts provide a comprehensive record of a student’s academic progress, including credit for courses transferred from other institutions, credit earned by examination, and degrees earned at Wentworth Institute of Technology. The transcript provides final grades for courses taken at Wentworth and through cross-registration at a member institution of the Colleges of the Fenway. Your Wentworth transcript does not list grades for courses taken at other institutions. To obtain this information, contact the institution that offers these courses. Transcripts report academic work at all levels (non-degree, undergraduate, and graduate).
Ordering a Transcript
To provide the best service possible and to maintain the security of academic records, transcripts may be requested in the following ways:
Electronic PDF Transcripts
Official Electronic PDF Transcripts must be ordered online through Parchment.
- Your transcript will be sent securely through Parchment in PDF format via email (a secure electronic alternative to the traditional paper transcript).
- Order updates will be emailed to you, or you can check your order status on the Parchment website.
Note: Electronic PDF transcripts sent to the recipient are considered official upon delivery.
Please Note: E-Transcript Delivery is ONLY available to students enrolled since 1985.
IMPORTANT END OF TERM NOTICE:
If you are a current student and want this semester’s grades to appear on your records, please select the “After Grades” option. Per the academic calendar, transcripts with final grades will be ready when grades are posted.
If you are about to graduate, please select the “Hold for Degree” option. Transcripts with degree information will be ready approximately three (3) weeks after grades are posted.
Transcripts will not be issued to students with holds on their records until all requirements have been met.
Official Transcripts - Policy/Procedure Change - Effective May 1, 2015
Wentworth Institute of Technology no longer accepts mailed, emailed, or faxed requests from students and other colleges or third parties. All electronic and paper delivery requests must come directly from the student or former student using the Parchment website.
Parchment is a leading provider of secure electronic transcripts. It delivers electronic PDF transcripts, which are held for 30 days in its secure server.
GTE Sylvania Technical School/Wentworth Technical School
Wentworth Institute of Technology is the records repository for the Wentworth Technical School and GTE Sylvania Technical School. Requests for transcripts prior to 1985 will take at least 14 business days to process.
