Institutional Scholarships

Overview

Wentworth Institute of Technology's financial aid award is offered as a "package" which can consist of a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and employment.  By following the application procedures, you will be considered for all aid which you qualify for.  You will be notified of your eligibility in the form of an award letter, which will clearly outline the types and amounts of each program you are eligible for.  You may be offered assistance from one or more of the programs below.

Wentworth Endowment Scholarship

The Financial Aid Office is pleased to announce that the 2017-2018 application cycle for Wentworth Endowment Scholarships is now live through Academic Works. To submit your application complete the following step-by-step directions.

 

1. Log into LConnect.
2. Click on “Leopard Web”.
3. Click on the “Financial Aid” tab at the top of the screen.
4. Click “WIT Endowed Scholarship Application”.
5. Complete your General Application no later than 6/1/17

You can log into Academic Works at any time to check on the status of your application. For direct access please go to wit.academicworks.com

Please note that applications must be fully completed to be considered. Please answer all questions and hit “submit” to qualify. Applicants that do not fully complete the application by June 1st, 2017 will be disqualified from consideration for these awards. No exceptions will be made.

These scholarships are for currently enrolled Wentworth students only.

Merit Award Scholarship

Wentworth offers merit-based scholarships in addition to need-based aid.  All applicants  are automatically considered for Merit Awards - no additional application is necessary.  Merit Scholarships range from $1,000 to $13,000 for the entering class of Fall 2017.  The Merit evaluation is determined by the Admissions Office and begins in mid-January.  The scholarship may be renewed for up to five years, depending on the length of the recipient’s bachelor’s degree program. Recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 classroom credits) and maintain a 2.5 institutional cumulative GPA. Graduate students are not eligible for the Merit award scholarship.

Wentworth Community Scholarship

Eligibility for this scholarship is determined by Wentworth’s Community Scholarship Committee.  It is open to returning students who show a significant commitment to the Wentworth Community through involvement in social, administrative, charitable and athletic activities. An eligible student must have completed four semesters and been enrolled full-time while maintaining an institutional cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Interested students should apply using the Endowed Scholarship application. Recipients must re-apply every year. Maximum award: $2,500.
