Three Years of Accelerate

“When Accelerate was launched it was an experiment,” says Frederick Driscoll, the dean of Wentworth’s College of Engineering and Technology whose support helped to pave the way for the center. “Since then we’ve attracted nearly 3,000 participants from across the Institute’s core programs.”
September 5, 2019—Beginning in the fall 2020, high school students will have the choice to submit or not submit SAT or ACT scores when applying to the university.
August 18, 2019—“You are equipped with everything you need to understand and help solve the complex problems of the day and of the future,” Thompson said. “Be intentional about it. Be purposeful about it. Give the world the benefit of your full creative capabilities. It is a world that greatly needs you!”
August 14, 2019—Edie Waldsmith has been a full-time staff member while also taking classes and getting involved in as much as she could on campus. “There’s a pride I feel every day being a part of the Wentworth community," she says. "It’s easy to give back when you feel a strong connection.”
