 NSBE Hosts STEM Day

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Wentworth chapter recently organized a day for young people to engage with STEM and gain an appreciation for future career options.

Current NSBE members and alumni gathered in Watson Hall Nov. 14 for NSBE’s STEM Day, a program designed to expose elementary, middle, and high school students to engineering concepts and problem solving.

Throughout the day, attendees spoke with various NSBE leaders and learned more about the organization. Student attendees were also provided tools to help them begin or continue living the mission to, "increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."

More information on NSBE can be found by emailing eboard@witnsbe.org.
