Joe Fallon, '77
Joe Fallon is not simply a veteran of Wentworth’s co-op program—he initiated the Institute’s very first one. While studying at Wentworth in the 1970s, Fallon took a co-op position with Malden Redevelopment Authority, setting in motion a career that would take him to tremendous heights in the real estate world.
As the President and CEO of The Fallon Company in Boston, Fallon’s portfolio includes Fan Pier, a three million square foot development that contains Twenty Two Liberty, One Marina Park Drive, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and 100 Northern Avenue. The Fallon Company is also responsible for the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, and Park Lane Seaport, among other sites.
Fallon was named one of The Boston Globe’s “Bostonians of the Year,” as well as “Developer of the Year” by the Boston Redevelopment Authority, and he serves on numerous nonprofit boards. He has employed co-op students and relates that he hires people who match his passion in their work.
