Commencement Profile: Morgan Miller

Morgan Miller, Student Athlete

Morgan Miller, a graduate of the Architecture program, was a four-year starting midfielder and two-time captain for the Wentworth Women’s soccer team. She holds the record for most games played with 87, and most games started with 85. In each of her four seasons, she was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference team. She also earned All-New England honors as a junior and senior.

This past season she scored a career-high 11 points, helping the team win its first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship and advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament. Both the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship and NCAA tournament appearance were the first for any women’s athletic program at Wentworth. In her final two seasons, Morgan helped lead the team to a program record of 33 wins, seven losses, and five ties.

What is your favorite thing about your Wentworth experience?

Meeting and becoming unbelievably close with my fellow teammates on the Wentworth Women’s soccer team. I have had so many amazing memories on and off the field with them.

How has Wentworth prepared you for post-graduate life?
Wentworth provided ample opportunity through the co-op program. I had two great experiences working for a residential and a commercial firm, and I have a better idea of what I want to do with architecture in the future.

What are you planning to do after commencement?

I plan on taking some time off [in the summer] before the master’s program beings in the fall.
Who is someone at Wentworth that you’ve greatly admired or looked up to?

Throughout my time at Wentworth I have always looked up to my teammates and my coaches. They have helped me and inspired me to be the best version of myself on and off the field.

What advice would you offer to students just entering Wentworth?

Get involved and join a team. Being a part of the soccer program helped me with my time management skills and created bonds with some amazing young women.
