Boston Shines Delivers Cleaner Streets
May 29, 2013
For the past 11 years, over 5,000 volunteers have come together for two days in the spring to participate in a citywide clean-up event called Boston Shines. Each year, Wentworth partners with Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services to pick up trash along the streets from Roxbury Crossing to Brigham Circle in Mission Hill. This year, the staff from The Center for Community and Learning Partnerships was joined by Wentworth students, Sociedad Latina staff, Brigham and Women’s Hospital volunteers, and nearby high schools students, spending Saturday morning picking up trash, raking, and sweeping the streets.
