For the third straight season, the top-seeded Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team (30-1) captured the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship title, downing the third-seeded Rivier Raiders (19-14) in straight sets Saturday afternoon.

YouthBuild Boston announced the appointment of Danyson Tavares — designer, educator, and community changemaker — as its new executive director. Tavares is a Wentworth Institute of Technology alumnus—Architecture ’11, Master of Architecture ’12— and adjunct professor.

I had the privilege recently of traveling to the Middle East, where a group of us embarked on a journey aimed at fostering collaboration and forging next-generation partnerships. Joined by Vice President Crate Herbert, Associate Vice President Aamir Suleman, and Dean Sedef Doganer, we caught up with some of our amazing alumni, and we laid the groundwork for future endeavors with industry leaders in the fields of technology and construction.

Nineteen students from Wentworth Institute of Technology’s School of Management recently embarked on a transformative study abroad trip, led by Professors Sharon Brown and Monica Snow.

Sophia Maggelakis’ focus on fostering educational excellence and global engagement defines her vision for the university’s academic future. Through the work of Wentworth’s provost and executive vice president and her team, notable strides—like the implementation of the 7-Year Academic Programs Master Plan—signify a strong dedication to the university’s growth. 

Hannah Schulze, Biomedical Engineering ’18, and Abbie Petersen, Electromechanical Engineering ’20, met as Wentworth resident assistants, and they’ve been friends and confidants ever since. They recently chatted with one another about mentorship and the transition from co‑op to career.

As a Wentworth student, Casey Galante earned both Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees. Upon graduation, she immersed herself in industry, but remained very closely connected to her alma mater, attending multiple events, mentoring students, and joining the board of the Wentworth Alumni Association (WAA).
