Welcome Mark A. Thompson, Ph.D. – Wentworth’s Fifth President

On March 11, Wentworth announced Mark A. Thompson, Ph.D., as the university’s fifth president, effective June 1, 2019. Mark was unanimously recommended to the Board of Trustees by a cross-institutional, 15-member Presidential Search Committee. The appointment follows a national selection process, which identified a large and diverse pool of well-qualified candidates.

Mark comes to us from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., where he served as executive vice president and provost. Read more about his background and education, and a 21-year tenure at Quinnipiac that included launching new engineering and medical schools.
