The Legacy Challenge

The Legacy Challenge - Today and Tomorrow is a matching gift challenge that enables alumni and friends to make an immediate impact on the lives of current students while also securing a strong future for the university.

The challenge will provide dollar for dollar matching support to donors who commit $12,500 to create an endowed scholarship along with committing to a future gift in their estate plan that will be earmarked for the endowment.

When you document a new planned gift to Wentworth by way of a bequest in a will/living trust or retirement plan beneficiary designation(s) and choose to create a current endowed scholarship with a gift of $12,500 (payable over up to five years), your gift will be matched to reach the minimum endowed scholarship level of $25,000. Named scholarships can be written to match your individual interests.

With this gift, you will be recognized in the 1904 Society and receive all the benefits associated with membership including an engraved brick in the Legacy Walkway to the Future.

In addition, if the estimated value of your planned gift is worth $100,000 or more, you will be recognized for your generosity by having your name displayed on a beautiful lamp post banner that will be displayed on campus during Black & Gold Weekend.

As of April 1, 2019, we have a pool of $125,000 in unrestricted matching funds that are available on a first come, first served basis to any donor who documents a planned gift. Once the fund is depleted, the challenge will end.
