Group Exercise Classes

Each semester, the Schumann Fitness Center offers a wide variety of group exercises classes to fulfill the needs of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Massachusetts Colleges of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Wentworth Institute of Technology communities.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Carley (30 minutes): This virtual yoga class is open to yogis of all levels. It will blend alignment and breath awareness in a flow through Asana sequences of standing postures, Sun Salutations and floor poses. Build strength, endurance and mental flexibility while learning how to relax the mind during challenging times.

Optional tools: yoga mat or carpeted area, 2 blocks (or block-like objects), and a folded towel for anyone who may experience knee pain.

Gentle Wind Down Yoga With Carley (50 minutes): This virtual yoga class is open to yogis of all levels. The first portion of the class will include a slow-moving sequence and the final portion will focus on a guided relaxation to help your mind wind down for the night.

Optional tools: yoga mat or carpeted area, 2 blocks (or block-like objects), a folded towel for anyone who may experience knee pain, anything else that might bring you peace such as incense, crystals or a candle.

Metabolic Mash With Taylor (30 minutes): Metabolic Mash is a 30 minute bootcamp style class that focuses on using body weight to build muscle and get your heart rate up. We will be doing exercises that work your whole body with a mix of cardio and strength training in intervals, and most exercises can be modified to be more or less challenging to fit your individual needs.

Suppertime Crunch With Heather (30 minutes):  Suppertime Crunch is a full body workout with a combination of low intensity body weight exercises with high intensity cardio exercises that is designed to get your appetite revved up just in time for supper!
