Electrical and Computer Engineering Programs
Computer Engineering rests on the fundamentals of electrical engineering and computer science fields. Computer engineers are involved in many hardware and software attributes of computing, from the design of computer networks to digital circuit design. Computer engineers build, analyze, design, and evaluate computer systems. Students in this program take courses in logic design, computer organization and architecture, embedded computer systems, engineering design, operating systems, computer network, digital signal processing, software engineering, database systems, circuits and electronics. Computer engineering program incorporates a project based course of study and a learning environment that utilizes laboratory exercises and teamwork as part of most engineering courses. Our graduates are well prepared for pursuing both an advanced degree and a professional career.
Electrical Engineering students develop a solid foundation in mathematics, science, engineering principles, as well as the humanities and social sciences as part of their program. Students are provided with the necessary theory, problem-solving skills, and laboratory exposure to design, build, and test their advanced senior design projects. The program integrates engineering design throughout the curriculum as well as an extensive use of computers to simulate engineering problems as well as to control devices, equipment, and systems. Students spend a great deal of time working in laboratory settings to reinforce and build upon theory. Course topics include circuit theory, solid state devices, analog and digital circuits and systems, feedback and controls, motors, power distribution systems, signal processing, and communication systems. The curriculum employs the latest technologies so that students are well prepared for graduate study or a professional career in industry.
Computer Engineering Technology

Students in the Computer Engineering Technology program develop expertise in the interface between hardware and software, and in the design and operation of computer architecture and networked systems. They draw from courses on microprocessors, computer science, and programming. Graduates work in fields such as computer design, manufacturing and testing; computer-controlled equipment; telecommunication systems; and networking.
Electronic Engineering Technology

Students in the Electronic Engineering Technology program study the design, development, and support of electronic systems. They learn about hardware and circuitry and acquire the analytic and technical skills necessary to test and optimize the performance of feedback control systems. Graduates are qualified to work in telecommunications, power systems, electronics, digital and analog systems, and new product design and testing.
