Paula Sakey is a creative, highly motivated, goal oriented development professional with over 25 years of experience in fundraising for health care and higher education. Ms. Sakey has significant experience managing comprehensive fundraising programs with an emphasis on major gift fundraising, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, board development and staff management. In July of 2014 she joined Wentworth and is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating development programs, overseeing communications, marketing and public relations, and managing comprehensive fundraising initiatives for Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Before joining Wentworth, she served as the director of development in three schools at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to transitioning to higher education from healthcare 19 years ago, Sakey worked in fundraising at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. 

She received her B.S. in Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst in 1988. Sakey is a member of Association of Fundraising Professionals; Women in Development of Greater Boston, Planned Giving Group of New England, Engineering Development Forum and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
