After completing his PhD in 2012, which focused on on-chip communication networks for multicore systems, Dr. Carpenter joined the faculty of Binghamton University in New York, where he taught and supervised undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. His research efforts there included hardware security, on-chip networks, and multicore systems. In 2015, Dr. Carpenter joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Wentworth, continuing his focus on undergraduate computer engineering education. Dr. Carpenter's research and scholarly efforts focus on computer architecture, digital system and VLSI design, hardware security, and engineering education.
