Supporting your student—and their peers
Thank you for entrusting Wentworth to educate your child. Since 1975, we have offered one of the most comprehensive cooperative education (co-op) programs of its kind in the nation. Each year, more than 1,800 students participate in a 12- to 16-week, full-time, paid work experience that is directly related to their major.
To adequately prepare for this life-changing experience, we offer all students the opportunity to participate in a five-week seminar called Co-op Institute, taught by the Co-op + Career Advisor who is dedicated to the student’s major. Parents are our partners as we work to ensure our students’ success. Please encourage your student to participate in Co-op Institute and to begin their search for a co-op at least one semester in advance.
Parents as providers of opportunity
Because so many of our students’ parents are leaders in their respective fields, we invite you—if you are able—to provide co-op and employment opportunities to Wentworth students and alumni. To create a successful co-op, read the requirements. We welcome your participation.
