American Institute Architecture Students (AIAS)
The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) at Wentworth is a chapter of a national non-profit student-led architecture organization with the mission to promote excellence in architecture education, training, and practice; to enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; and to organize students and combine their efforts to advance the art and science of architecture to foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines.
The AIAS is one of five collateral organizations that lead the profession of architecture in the United States. The other organizations are the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Council of Architecture Registration Board (NCARB), the National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB), and the American Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA). Wentworth's chapter sponsors events on campus and connects Wentworth students to a nationwide body of students. The Wentworth chapter regularly participates in Quad and Forum, which are AIAS regional and national conference.
Wentworth Architecture Club (WAC)
WAC Spring Break
The Wentworth Architecture Club is a student-lead organization focusing on issues and events related to architecture at Wentworth. Their goal is to diversify the design student’s lifestyle through design workshops, city-walks, volunteering and travel opportunities, competitions, and networking events within the school. WAC hosts annual spring break trips to architecturally renowned cities such as New York City, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles. The club works closely with the AIAS chapter at Wentworth, representing the voice of the students in the architecture program.
Wentworth Architecture Review (WAr)
WAr Launch Party
Architecture students established the Wentworth Architecture Review (WAr) to showcase their work and ideas, increasing public awareness of the rich culture of Wentworth’s design students. The first issue includes interviews, photographic works, and images from projects representing the program’s entire spectrum of students, from first-year students through graduate students. Composed entirely of students, the journal’s leaders have created a website wentworth architecture review that acts as a shared resource center and a place for exchanging thoughts.
The National Organization of Minority Architect Students’ (NOMAS)
NOMAS Club Officers
The National Organization of Minority Architect Students’ (NOMAS) mission is to champion diversity within the design professions by promoting the excellence, community engagement, and professional development of its members. As a Wentworth chapter, their goal is to bring more awareness to the lack of minorities in the architectural profession and strive to collaborate and network with communities both on and off-campus. NOMAS promotes professionalism and community engagement as well as interactive social events.
