The goals of the Wentworth's Academic Advising Program are to advise, to inform, and to mentor.
Academic Advisors help students complete and achieve success within their respective academic programs. Advisors, who are usually Wentworth faculty, guide students in their academic choices/actions and the impact those choices/actions may have on their careers.
Wentworth believes that informed students making educated decisions develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. Such a process aids in developing self-sufficiency and self-confidence needed in the working world.
Disability Services provides support that allows students with disabilities to participate fully in the life of the community. Wentworth subscribes to the policies set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) and in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which mandate equal opportunity in education programs and activities for students with disabilities.
Students with physical, medical, psychiatric, and learning disabilities are eligible to utilize Disability Services to arrange for reasonable accommodations and seek ongoing support. Students interested in receiving accommodations must follow the Accommodation Process and meet with Disability Services each semester.
All sessions with Disability staff members are free of charge and strictly confidential. No information will be released without the student's permission, except in cases of emergency.
