Helping Local Kids Prepare for College
The Center for Community and Learning Partnerships (CLP) is committed to helping Boston Public School students from neighboring communities create a path to college and further success. To help them achieve these important goals, we offer several programs and initiatives that students and faculty can participate in:
SAT Prep. Run jointly by Wentworth and Simmons College, the SAT Prep Program helps close the gap in SAT achievement for Boston Public School students. Learn more.
Dual Enrollment. Dual Enrollment allows Boston Public High School seniors to earn college credit while receiving credit toward a high school diploma. This program is aimed at students who have an interest in Wentworth and the science, technology, engineering, and math fields (STEM). Learn more.
Ramp. Ramp is a six-week summer bridge program for Boston residents who will be attending Wentworth in the fall as first-year students and majoring in STEM disciplines. Learn more.
ACE Mentor Program. Run by the Boston chapter of Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE), the program pairs high school students interested in ACE fields with an industry mentor. Learn more.
Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP). LSAMP is a grant overseen by the National Science Foundation to promote retention and recruitment for students from underrepresented populations interested in STEM majors. Learn more.
