What is Respondus 4.0?
Respondus is a Windows-based authoring tool that makes it easy to create and manage exams for Blackboard Learn and other learning management systems.
Respondus allows you to import multiple choice, true-false, essay, fill in the blank, fill in multiple blanks, matching, ordering, jumbled sentence, and multiple answer questions from a file. The questions must be organized in a format that is acceptable to Respondus and the file must be stored in one of the following formats: plain text (.txt), rich-text (.rtf), MS Word (.doc and .docx), and tab/comma delimited (.csv) format.

Easily create and manage online assessments to administer in Blackboard Learn or other learning management system
Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment or moved between different learning management systems. Whether you are a veteran of online testing or relatively new to it, Respondus 4 will save you hours on each project.

Publish directly to Blackboard Learn and other learning systems. This is the easiest and recommended method to use to expedite exam building time!
This video shows how to create test questions with Respondus 4, the exam authoring tool, and format them with rich media, equations. This process is similar to building an exam in Blackboard where you type (or cut and paste) your content in a specific fields. Rather than completing this process directly in Blackboard, you are just doing in via the Respondus tool.
