Commencement Update: April 7, 2021

We want to honor your incredible achievement by hosting an in-person commencement on Saturday, May 1, 2021 here on campus.

Wentworth is planning to host a modified COVID-safe ceremony as an outdoor event that conforms with state and city gathering limits. A recent change to the gathering limits along with the submission of our COVID safety plan now allows for up to 2 guests per student. This is exciting news and we are looking forward to hosting your family and friends. They will need to register for contact tracing purposes. No guests will be permitted without the registration.

Ceremony Plans

Recent changes now make it possible for each student to bring up to 2 registered guests only. We will be hosting up to 3 ceremonies by school depending on the final number of RSVP's. The current plan is to host the ceremonies as follows: (1) Architecture and Design, (2) Management, and (3) combined Computer and Data Science & Engineering schools. Our Masters graduates will attend the ceremonies in their corresponding schools. We are planning for graduates to process onto the Quad and to cross the stage during the event.

Attendees - Update - 2 registered guests per student

We are excited to announce that graduates can now invite up to 2 guests each. They will need to be registered in advance for contact tracing purposes. We know this is an important milestone in your life and are thrilled that our Covid safety plan submitted to the City has been approved. For those family members and friends who cannot join you in person, the event will be broadcast on Wentworth’s livestream to view from anywhere.

Adjustments

Please note that should the city and state reduce gathering limits or prohibit gatherings of any kind prior to May 1, we will host a virtual event in place of the in-person ceremony with a plan to reschedule an in-person ceremony for you later when it is safe to gather.

Communications

Please read and respond when needed to all emails. Please share information with your families and check the commencement website for updates.

We are looking forward to this joyful celebration with you.
