Community

Think Globally, Act Locally.  Complex challenges require regional collaboration.  For us, this means that sustainability extends beyond the campus boundaries to our surrounding community.

Wentworth has won numerous awards for community outreach through its Center for Community Learning and Partnerships. Through CLP, students can engage in service learning, alternative spring break, and community work study.

We are involved in a program called the Center for Sustainability and the Environment, hosted by the Colleges of the Fenway. The Center allows students to cross-register for sustainability-related courses featuring 15 faculty from across six neighboring colleges, and holds an annual symposium featuring student environmental research.

Our alumni who have successfully applied their classroom knowledge to become leading professionals in areas such as renewable energy and sustainable urban design.

We are fortunate to be located in a region dedicated to a sustainable future.  The City of Boston consistently ranks among the greenest cities in the country, and the State of Massachusetts has made it a priority to develop the local cleantech economy.
