Transcript Requests

How to Request a Transcript

The Office of the Registrar offers several different methods by which a transcript may be released to a third party. It is possible to stipulate that transcripts be withheld until grades and/or degrees have been posted. Requests are normally processed within 2 to 3 business days, though requests for records prior to 1985 will require additional processing time. Wentworth Institute of Technology is also the repository of records for Wentworth Technical School and GTE Sylvania Technical School.

Transcripts may be submitted in one of three ways:

  • Regular mail or pickup. Complete the transcript request form, print and sign the completed form, and submit it to the SSC as an attachment to an email, or by fax, mail, or in person. Only the name, and mailing address of the recipient should appear in the recipient box for transcripts to be mailed. If requesting to pick up transcripts, state the name of the person to pick up the transcript(s), if other than you, and the words "PICKUP REQUEST". Send the request to:

  • Email (transcript in pdf format). This option is available only to students who were enrolled in the year 1985 or later. Complete the transcript request form on your computer, print and sign the completed form, and submit it to the SSC as an attachment to an email, or by fax, mail, or in person. The recipient box on the form should include only the name of the recipient and the email address to which the transcript should be sent. Send the request to:

  • Online Request. Students may also request their transcripts online. This option is available only to students who were enrolled in the year 1985 or later. Current students and former students/alumni may order online via SCRIP-SAFE International. The first time you log in on https://iwantmytranscript.com/wit you will need to create an account with Transcripts on Demand by selecting Wentworth Institute of Technology and click on the Sign-up button. If you are a first-time visitor, you will be directed to create a personal profile and user ID/password which you will use to place future orders. A signed consent form will be required one time.
  • Express Mail. Wentworth Institute of Technology Registrar's Office now uses an express mail service that will allow you to request shipment of your documents through FedEx and track its shipment. Requesting your transcripts/verifications through express mail is at your expense and your credit card will be charged upon requesting the service. The FedEx Express mailing must be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards only). You must use the website provided below - do not use the FedEx website directly.
