For returning student beginning January 27th and continuing through February 28th, the Student Service Center will be accepting Housing Deposits for the Summer 2014, Fall 2014/Spring 2015 academic year, and Three Semester Housing, for students who wish to live on campus during the Fall 2014, Spring 2015 and Summer 2015 semesters.
Note: If selecting Summer 2014 PLUS Fall or Three Semester Housing, separate deposits must be made. Deposits can be made at the Student Service Center(located on the first floor of Williston Hall), online at http://www.wit.edu/ssc, through LConnect or by phone at 617-989-4020. These deadlines do not apply to students entering Wentworth in the Fall of 2014.
Summer 2014 deposit will be $450
Fall 2014/Spring 2015 deposit will be $500
Three Semester Housing (Fall 2014/Spring 2015 and Summer 2015) deposit will be $750
What is “Three Semester Housing”?
Students that select “Three Semester Housing” are assigned to the same spaces during the Fall 2014, Spring 2015, and Summer 2015 semesters and are permitted to stay in their assignments during winter and summer break. Students should only choose "Three Semester Housing" if they plan on living on campus during all three semesters. The “Three Semester Housing” option traditionally costs (approximately 7%) less per semester than selecting academic year and summer housing separately. Please note that Three Semester Housing is only located in the Louis Prang/Vancouver apartments and students can only live with other students in the Three Semester Housing program.
New Student Housing Selection
For students entering Wentworth in the Fall of 2014, housing selection will take place July 9-11, 2014. More information will be sent out in the early summer.
Top 5 Things To Know About Housing Selection
1. The $500.00 Deposit
Students interested in Fall 2014/Spring 2015 housing must make a deposit of $500.00 at the Student Service Center by February 28th to be eligible for fall selection. Making your deposit by the deadline is the only way to ensure that you will have a spot for the summer or fall semesters. Failure to meet this deadline may prevent you from being able to join the group, or select the room that you want
2. Online Selection
Housing Selection is being done online this year. Please check your email regularly to ensure you don't miss any information.
3. Selecting your group
Students will select their own roommates and suitemates. Each member of the group must pay a housing deposit to form a housing selection group.
4. Filling a suite
Your group must fill an entire suite. The system will only show you rooms available for your specific group size. Plan ahead!
5. Always have a backup plan
What are you going to do if the suite you want is not available? If your group has to split in two, who will live with who?
