New Student Orientation (NSO) is a two-day, overnight introduction to the Wentworth community. NSO will provide you with the basic knowledge of the campus community and the resources and services Wentworth offers. You will meet with other first year students, as well as current Wentworth student leaders, staff, and faculty. You will also be provided with all the necessary information you need in order to register for classes. In addition to an orientation program designed just for you, your parents and family will also have the opportunity to take part in a one-day Parent & Family Orientation.

Overnight accommodations are provided to all first year students who have registered for New Student Orientation (NSO) free of charge. You must register for NSO prior to your arrival. All first year students, regardless of where they plan to live in the fall, will stay overnight in one of our residence halls. Not all of our residence halls are air conditioned, so please feel free to bring a fan. It is an expectation of your NSO experience that you stay overnight on-campus.
Students are expected to be with their NSO groups for the day until approximately 10:30pm. Students are expected to stay on campus during their entire stay for NSO; there will be opportunities to discover Boston during Wentworth Opening Week (WOW) in September. In the evenings during Orientation, there will be a variety of activities taking place and numerous opportunities to hang out with other new students. This time is a great opportunity to get to know your new classmates in a more informal environment.
What to Bring
New Student Orientation (NSO) is a two-day, overnight program held on Wentworth's campus each June. The following list should be used as you pack; it includes a helpful list of items you may want to consider bringing with you.
Students will be staying in a residence hall on campus overnight and will share a room with another new student attending NSO. The rooms are not air conditioned, so please feel free to bring a fan.
Transfer students are not required to attend New Student Orientation. Instead, transfer students are invited to attend an optional Transfer Orientation in July 2016. The date for Transfer Orientation will be announced in June. During Transfer Orientation students learn more about class registration, co-op, campus resources, and meet other transfer students.
We understand the high cost associated with international travel and therefore do not require our international students to attend New Student Orientation. However, International students are required to attend Wentworth Opening Week and International Student Orientation.
