Health Insurance Waiver/Enrollment
Health Insurance Waiver/EnrollmentMassachusetts law requires all college students to have health insurance. As a result, each year Wentworth students are required to either:
Enroll in Wentworth’s Student Health Insurance Plan
Decline Wentworth's Student Health Insurance Plan through an online waiver form
Decline Student Health Insurance Plan
If you want to keep your family’s insurance and waive the student plan, we encourage you to first check that your family’s insurance is accepted by Wentworth’s on-campus healthcare provider, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. Visit the Harvard Vanguard website for list of accepted insurance plans or call 800-249-1767.
If you choose to decline the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must provide proof of coverage by completing the on-line health insurance waiver.
Purchase Student Health Insurance Plan
Wentworth has contracted with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (administered by United Healthcare) to offer an insurance plan that students can rely upon as their sole source of health insurance coverage. This comprehensive plan exceeds the requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and meets all requirements for coverage recommended by the American College Health Association. To review details regarding the 2012-13 Student Insurance Plan, please visit www.uhcsr.com/wentworth. You can also call 800-977-4698 with questions.
If you wish to purchase the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must complete the on-line insurance enrollment form and pay the premium in full with your fall registration or have confirmed financial aid or student loans sufficient to cover the premium.
The deadline for waiving or enrolling is August 1, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact the Student Service Center (617-989-4020).
