Polytechnic Summit Announced for June 11 and 12

Wentworth Institute of Technology has announced that the 2014 Polytechnic Summit will take place on campus Wednesday, June 11 and Thursday, June 12.

The summit, now in its sixth year, serves as a place for polytechnic instructors to gather and exchange ideas on cross-discipline learning and faculty-staff collaboration. The theme for this year’s summit is “Who Moved My Classroom?”

Woodie Flowers, Pappalardo Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at MIT and longtime advocate for transforming engineering education, will serve as keynote speaker on June 11.

Summit attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in an off-site event at Fenway Park. A customized tour not available to the general public, and led by Fenway’s Building Superintendent Donald Gardiner, will afford a behind-the-scenes look at the venerable ballpark.

More information about the summit is available at www.polytechnicsummit.org.
