‘A Sea of Change’ Continues Applied Math Lectures
The Wentworth community is invited to attend today's (4/1/14) lecture "A Sea of Change" at 4:00 p.m. in Beatty 418.
Wentworth alum Jim Leonard, Industrial Engineering ’80, will present “A Sea of Change.” Leonard’s talk will examine change and how we, as humans, always react to change.
Leonard will reference the early 20th century as well as provide current statistics that imply what our future will be. While he shares these he will also provide a verbal and white board review of his own career – with emphasis on corporate behaviors that he experienced.
A native of Cape Cod, Jim Leonard spent three decades working in large IT corporations. His assignments ranged from service to marketing, product development to business controls, operational research to infrastructure availability, and many other roles.
Upon retirement in North Carolina he has been involved with performance automotive engineering along with writing and publishing an automotive blog “Jim’s Garage” which is enjoyed in over 70 countries.
He also enjoys sharing his experiences and observations of corporate culture and human behavior with students at many levels. He has presented to classes at the University of North Florida, UVM in Vermont, as well as at several IT conferences and for customer groups.
