Holiday Drives Taking Place on Campus
With the holiday season now here, there are several ways that members of the Wentworth community can give back. Below are a series of events and drives taking place on campus.
Donations for Troops
Wentworth does not forget to support the troops overseas this holiday season and members of the community can donate items through Friday, December 6.
Items needed include small tubes of toothpaste, deodorant, hard candy, personal wipes, foot powder, body powder, gum, small cans of tuna, sardines, disposable razors, small cans of shaving cream, as well as other small items for personal use that can withstand the stress of shipment.
Typhoon Haiyan Philippines Relief Fund
The Philippines, a nation of more than 7,000 islands, faces enormous devastation in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan that produced record strength winds, along with high storm surges. Approximately 10 million people across 40 provinces have been affected with as many as 600,000 people displaced and the death toll continuing to rise.
To help residents of the Philippines, Wentworth students have set up donation boxes around campus, including the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of the Admissions Department, the Info Hub desk and the cafeteria in the Flanagan Campus Center, and the Housing Office. Funds will go to the Red Cross in the Philippines to provide food, water, and other relief supplies. The America Red Cross is also lending people, expertise, and equipment to this effort.

Holiday Cards for the Elderly
Take a break and get creative in the Flanagan Campus Center Lobby on Wednesday, December 4 by making holiday cards. Sponsored by the Center for Community and Learning Partnerships, this runs from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. and cards will be sent to elderly residents of Mission Hill.
