iRobot's Colin Angle to Deliver Summer Commencement Address

Boston, MA—August 9, 2012—Wentworth Institute of Technology today announced that Colin Angle, chairman of the board, chief executive officer, and co-founder of iRobot Corp. (Nasdaq: IRBT), will address the Class of 2012 as the summer commencement speaker on August 26 at the Bank of America Pavilion. He will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Engineering Technology degree as part of the ceremony, which will celebrate more than 600 students earning a Bachelor of Science or an Associate in Applied Science degree.

One of the world’s leading authorities on mobile robots, Mr. Angle is an industry pioneer with more than two decades of experience. Under his guidance, iRobot is at the forefront of the growing robot industry, delivering home cleaning, defense and security, and healthcare robots. His keen sense of business strategy is a driving force behind iRobot’s successful identification and execution of expansion opportunities.

Mr. Angle’s leadership and vision for the future of robots have been recognized with numerous professional awards. He has been named the 2012 Most Admired CEO by the Boston Business Journal, CEO of the Year by the Mass Technology Leadership Council, a Mass High Tech All-Star, and one of Fortune Small Business magazine’s Best Bosses.

Mr. Angle holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science, both from MIT.
