Request a Library Instruction Session
Library instruction sessions are available upon faculty request.
If your department would like to set up an information literacy program, please contact Marianne Thibodeau at thibodeaum2@wit.edu.
Information Literacy Instruction
These sessions are generally the length of the class period and help students with a specific research paper/project for the class.
Librarians provide both general and specialized classes in methods of library and internet research. Most instruction sessions incorporate the use of databases, reference materials, the FLO Catalog, and Web resources.
Librarians can develop a Web page tailored to resources for your students' use; see Course Guides for examples.
We're also happy to meet with faculty on an individual basis to discuss strategies for using FLO, indexes and databases, and the Internet to meet research needs.
