Friday October 17
1:00pm-7:00pm, Check-In, Flanagan Campus Center Lobby (Lower Level), Stop in for an updated schedule of events and information. And everyone attending can pick up a coupon to Beatty Cafeteria that can be used throughout the weekend. Looking for more activities to fill your weekend? Purchase discounted tickets to the Museum of Science or local movie theaters at the Info Hub.
1:00pm-7:00pm, Hospitality Suite, Flanagan Campus Center Lobby (Lower Level), Waiting for the rest of your party? Or for your student to get out of class? Pick up a cup of coffee or a cookie at check-in and relax in the Flanagan Center Pavilion overlooking the Quad. You can read the newspaper, or the latest issue of Wentworth Magazine; you can also get information about local restaurants and Boston attractions, or mingle with other Wentworth guests. Have questions? Ask one of our helpful students who will be stationed at the nearby Info Hub.
4:00 p.m, Gelfand Strength of Materials Lab Dedication, Dobbs Hall (lower level), Join President Zorica Pantić as we dedicate our new strength of materials lab in honor of Institute friend Mark Gelfand for his generous contribution to renovate and modernize this facility, the latest addition to Wentworth’s “High-Tech Highway.” Reception immediately following.
7:00pm-10:00pm, Casino Night, Watson Auditorium Watson Hall, Think you have luck on your side? You won't want to miss this annual favorite! A free night of Casino games, no money required! We have blackjack, poker, roulette and even bingo! Turn in your chips for raffle tickets and try to win prizes! Wentworth swag, the latest video games and DVDs and even a Family Weekend Four pack– four free tickets for your family at next year’s Family & Alumni weekend! Prizes will be drawn at 9:45 pm, you must be present to win (one prize per party).
EPIC Learning Display, Friday-Sunday, Flanagan Center Pavilion, all weekend
Wentworth's core purpose and mission is to empower, inspire and innovate through experiential learning with the goal of career success. Through EPIC (Externally-collaborative, Project-based, Interdisciplinary Curricula) Learning students experience an approach to learning that closely mirrors what goes on in real workplaces across the country. Stop by the Flanagan Center Pavilion for a chance to view projects that embody EPIC learning and see what students will be experiencing at Wentworth in years to come.
- Huntington Ave YMCA - A collaboration between the Architecture Department and Office of Community and Learning Partnerships on a renovation of the entry lobby and surrounding space of the Huntington Avenue YMCA. Through project based, collaborative coursework during the 2013/2014 academic year, Architecture students have worked with the YMCA on investigating materials, assemblies and prototypes at full scale. Their work continues into the 2014/2015 academic year.
- Medfield State Hospital - Over 90 students from Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering and Management create comprehensive documentation reflecting each of their disciplines for the adaptive re-use of an abandoned site.
Saturday October 18

9:30am-10:30am, Coffee Conversation: Parent Philanthropy, Wentworth Alumni Room (Beatty 103), Join us for coffee and conversation about Parent Philanthropy at Wentworth. We need your ideas and perspectives on communications and strategies to raise awareness among all parents of the overall needs and programs at the Institute.
10:00am-10:30am, Future WIT Soccer Stars Game, Sweeney Field, Children of Alumni, and siblings of WIT students will take the field in a fun-filled game featuring Wentworth’s future athletes. (Pre-registration required)
10:30am-12:30pm, Children’s Tent on Sweeney Field, A fun place for kids to come during the morning soccer games. Pumpkin decorating, children’s activities, and snacks will be available
10:30am-11:30am, Men’s Alumni Soccer Game, Sweeney Field, Can Leopards change their spots? See if our alumni still have what it takes out on the field.
11:00am-12:00pm, Veteran’s social, 525 Conference Room, 525 residence hall, We invite all Veterans (whether students, alumni or family member) to attend this social. Mix and mingle with fellow veterans’, including Wentworth faculty and staff. Light refreshments will be served.
11:00am-12:00pm, Alumni Tennis Mixer, Tennis courts, All tennis alums are invited to the mixer. We’d “love” to see you there!
12:30pm, Women’s Soccer vs. Western New England University, Sweeney Field, Come watch the Wentworth Leopards take on the WNEU Golden Bears!
1:00pm, Dean's Address, Blount Auditorium, Annex Central, Join Wentworth's Dean of Students Annamaria Wenner for an update on the state of the Institute. This thirty minute session will let you know what changes are in store for Wentworth. Dean Wenner will be available after the session for questions.
1:00pm-3:00pm, Athletics Reunion & Alumni Tailgate, Sweeney Field, Are you an athletics alum who was on a fall varsity team? Or are you an alum who wants to cheer on the Leopards? Join your fellow alumni for a complimentary BBQ with two drink tickets given to each pre-registered guest. This is a strictly 21 plus event
1:30 - 4:30pm, Harvest Festival & Build-a-Leopard – Watson Auditorium, Watson Hall, Stop by the Harvest Festival to make your own street sign, tie-dye a t-shirt, build a stuffed leopard, visit our balloon artist, get your fortune told, or get your photo taken with the Wentworth Leopard! Fall refreshments will be served. (Tickets are required to build-a-leopard, but everything else is free),
3:30pm, Men’s Soccer vs. Western New England University, Sweeney Field, See if the Leopards can overpower the Golden Bears, in what’s bound to be an exciting game!
3:30pm, Women’s Volleyball vs. Roger Williams University, Tansey Gymnasium, It’s the Leopards vs. the Hawks in this exciting match-up!
6:30pm, WAA Alumni Awards & Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner, Watson Auditorium, (Pre-registration required), Join the Wentworth Alumni Association and the Athletics Department in honoring a select few of your fellow alumni for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the Wentworth community.
7:00pm, Hypnotist Jim Spinnato, Evans Way Auditorium, Why leave campus for a show when we've got a free, family friendly show right here? Hypnotist Jim Spinnato has performed all over New England from Six Flags to Foxwoods and at many local colleges. Bring the whole family to this show, you never know what you'll end up doing! Snacks provided.
7:30pm, Improv Asylum, (sold out), Improv Asylum is a comedy theater that features improvisation, sketch comedy and has been described as "Whose Line is it Anyway?" meets "Saturday Night Live". Nothing is predictable, anything can happen and it's never the same show twice.
8:00pm, Blue Man Group, Charles Playhouse, (sold out), Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment.
9:00pm, Shear Madness Comedy, Charles Playhouse, (sold out), Set in a hairstyling salon that is the scene of a wacky murder, Shear Madness is the uproarious whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime.
Sunday October 19
9:00-11:00am, Jazz Breakfast, Watson Auditorium, Relax to the soulful sounds of jazz from the Brian Fitzpatrick Trio as you unwind from the busy weekend. As a special treat Wentworth's first and only a capella group Note-oriety will perform as well. (No tickets required)
10:00am &11:00am, Duck Tours, (tickets required), Departing from the West Lot, It wouldn't be a trip to Boston without a memorable Duck Tour! Take a historic ride throughout our great city with a knowledgeable ConDUCKtor.

Douglas D. Schumann Fitness Center Want to get a workout in this weekend? Visit the new Fitness Center in the Flanagan Center. Visitors can pick up a one-time guest pass at the Info Hub on their way in. Showers and lockers are available for use as well. Fitness Center users must be 18 or older. Fitness center hours are: Friday 6am-9pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, & Sunday 10am-9pm
Wentworth Bookstore Don’t forget to use your bookstore coupon to receive 10% off clothing and gift items. The Bookstore is located in Flanagan 025. Bookstore hours: Friday: 9am-6pm, Saturday: 10am-4pm, Sunday 11am-2pm
Prayer and Meditation Space Looking for a quiet place to center yourself? Or a space for daily prayer or meditation? We have what you’re looking for in Flanagan 029. A foot sink, prayer rugs, and meditation cushions are available for use. The Prayer and Meditation Room is open: Friday 6am-11pm, Saturday 8am-11pm, & Sunday 10am-11pm
Beatty Cafeteria Come check out the Beatty Cafeteria! Offering hot entrees and a large selection of foods all day. Don’t forget to pick up your coupons at check-in for a free meal on Saturday! Beatty Cafeteria is open: Friday 7am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-6:30pm (The Leopard Cafe is open 7am-10am on Saturday serving coffee and lighter fare).
Flanagan Info Hub The Flanagan Info Hub is available all day to provide answers to your questions. If you want information, we’ve got it. The Info Hub also sells tickets to the Museum of Science, the Omni Theater and the Planetarium ($5.00 each) and to local movie theaters ($8.00 each). The Info Hub is open: Friday 6am-11pm, Saturday 8am-11pm, & Sunday 10am-11pm
