A Welcome from Dean Larry Carr
I would like to warmly welcome you to The College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. We are the gateway to lifelong learning at Wentworth and are committed to helping adult learners achieve their educational and career goals, with flexible programming designed to accommodate your busy lifestyle.
The College of Professional and Continuing Education offers an ideal educational experience for our adult learners, with small, interactive classrooms led by our faculty who carry on Wentworth’s more than 100 year tradition of blending strong, theory-based learning with a practical, hands-on, problem-solving approach. Many of our faculty hold senior leadership positions in industry and bring their experience and background into the classroom, enabling students to gain skills that are readily marketable in their chosen field. We also provide our adult learners with a dedicated advisor, who will work with you throughout your academic tenure to ensure your success.
Whether you are considering entering a new field or would like to advance in your current career, we offer a variety of degree, certificate, and training programs to help you get there. Wentworth Institute of Technology has a well-earned reputation for educating a workforce who are leaders in the design, construction, operations and maintenance of the built environment of Greater Metropolitan Boston and beyond.
We also understand that you may be bringing a wealth of previous knowledge and experience to the classroom, which is why we offer credit for prior life and work experience, and allow students to transfer up to 80 credits of previous college-level coursework into our bachelor’s degree programs and up to 32 credits of previous college-level coursework into our associate degree programs.
We continue to expand our professional and continuing education course options and delivery modes by offering courses in a face-to-face format on nights and weekends, as well as hybrid and fully online options. All of our courses are designed to meet the needs of working adults.
Our faculty and staff are committed to guiding our students through the transformational process of education and there are many student-centered services available to you through The College of Professional and Continuing Education. The academic success of each and every one of you remains our number one priority.
Should you have any questions or comments please feel free to reach out to us by phone at 617-989-4300 or via email at email@example.com. We hope to enable you to take that next step in your own professional development.
