What did you decide to return to school at Wentworth?
After high school, I was enrolled as a full-time day student at Wentworth. Getting a job became a priority for me, however, so I did not complete my degree. After working for a few years I realized that I wanted to go back to school. Because Wentworth has a strong reputation as a technical school and because I was already familiar with it, I knew it would be a good choice. They also offer flexibility for working adults, which was important so I could continue to work full-time.
What is Wentworth like today compared with when you first enrolled several years ago?
I think that Wentworth has undergone a very positive evolution as an institution over the past several years. The school has been able to adapt to changes in higher education, and it has been exciting to see it grow.
Do you find that you’re able to learn from your classmates in addition to learning from your instructors?
Absolutely. All of my instructors bring great experience to the classroom, but I’m also able to learn from my classmates. For instance, in my structural planning class two of my classmates work in that area, so they were able to provide additional insight beyond what the instructor and the textbook could offer.
