Alternative Spring Break
During the 2012-2013 academic year, the Center sponsored a local Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip. While the other two ASB groups spent their weeks in Florida and New Orleans helping those communities, ASB Boston serviced various human-need organizations right here in Boston.

Two student coordinators, Anzia and Brittany, researched ways to get involved all around the city and decided on six organizations with varying missions. During the week in March, they addressed issues related to homelessness, hunger, poverty, child development, environmental impacts, and individuals with severe injuries. Twelve additional students participated in the week, staying at the International Hostel in Chinatown and commuting to their events daily using the MBTA. All costs associated with their week were covered through intensive fundraising efforts, led by the student coordinators and contributed to by all students involved in the trip.
