Off-Campus Leadership Conference
The Office of Campus Life offers students the opportunity to attend various leadership conferences scheduled around the country by other institutions, as well as private organizations.
The Office of Campus Life has limited resources to send students to off-campus conferences, therefore, interested students should notify Campus Life as soon as they find a conference that interests them.

National Conference on Student Leadership
April 4-7 2013, Boston MAThe National Conference on Student Leadership (NCSL) has been providing leadership development conferences for college student leaders and their advisors for thirty years. Started in 1978 as the National Conference on Student Services, NCSL has impacted tens of thousands of college students from across the country and around the world. The first conference took place in Madison, WI and NCSL now hosts three conferences per year nationwide including recent locations like Orlando, San Diego, and Atlanta. In thirty years, NCSL has grown from a few hundred participants to nearly 1,500 each year.

IMPACT: National Student Conference on Service, Advocacy & Social Action

The IMPACT Conference is historically the largest gathering in the country focused on the civic engagement of college students in community service, service-learning, community-based research, advocacy and other forms of social action. Building on the rich 26-year tradition of the COOL Conference and the Idealist Campus Conference, IMPACT is the one time during the year when students, administrators, faculty, AmeriCorps members and VISTAs, and nonprofit professionals gather together to share resources and exchange stories.

LeaderShape is six intense days of dialogue and interactive self-discovery in a supportive Learning Community. The LeaderShape Institute challenges participants to lead with integrity while working towards a vision grounded in their deepest values. Participants explore not only what they want to do, but who they want to be. Dynamic, challenging, and exciting, the week is intended to produce a breakthrough in the leadership capacity of participants — benefiting them individually, as well as their respective communities and the organizations they will go on to lead and serve in the future.

National Conference on Race and Ethnicity
May 28- June 1, 2013, New Orleans LAThe NCORE conference series constitutes the leading and most comprehensive national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education. The conference focuses on the complex task of creating and sustaining comprehensive institutional change designed to improve racial and ethnic relations on campus and to expand opportunities for educational access and success by culturally diverse, traditionally underrepresented populations. NCORE is designed to provide a significant forum for discussion, critical dialogue, and exchange of information as institutions search for effective strategies to enhance access, social development, education, positive communication, and cross-cultural understanding in culturally diverse settings.

National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL)

AAUW Leadership and Training Institute and NASPA’s Center for Scholarship, Research, and Professional Development for Women present the 2012 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) Leadership for Today and Tomorrow, a two-and-a-half day conference focused on important and contemporary leadership issues. NCCWSL is a perfect conference to help hone leadership skills for work on campus and in local communities.by creating educational student-student and student-professional interactions.
